Early Buildings/Housing/Fortification Plans in Ancient Mesopotamia
At the site of Qermez Dere in Northern Iraq, there is a center of interest in the two areas excavated. These yielded an extremely early and unusual house. It was repeatedly re-modelled and rebuilt. This site is a small settlement belonging to the end of the epipaleolithic period and early aceramic Neolithic period (8500 to 7900 BC).
