Affair of knowledge and language
Knowledge serves the purpose of an objective understanding of social processes by subjective means. Affair of knowledge is all about its romance with society which takes place through the linguistic phenomenon of communication and information.
Similarly, production and consumption of knowledge also takes place through the similar phenomenon. Language must communicate genuine information in the forms of knowledge. People communicate better, through the medium of their native languages. Simultaneously, languages must also be qualified enough to communicate appropriate and applicable knowledge to society.
Therefore, the relationship between knowledge and language is a two-way process where specialized knowledge remains accessible within the commonsense levels of society. In the field of knowledge, sciences are transformable into technology.
Knowledge, language and technology
At this stage knowledge configures the relation between society and technology, where previously communicated knowledge is replaced with new set of information. Languages are bound to remain welcoming to such changes. The essence of technology is to connect the sciences to society; where languages are adopted with knowledge, and technology goes down to serve society at its best.
Development of knowledge not only advances the level of information readily available to society, but also causes an ultimate change in the social thought process and changes in linguist communique.
Knowledge reflections are commonly sensed in society at developmental stages of the experiential production-consumption process where morpho-phonemic lexical inclusion-exclusion in the languages causes a colossal longstanding effect on the entire state of the relationship between knowledge, language and society. Knowledge affair defines the complex relation of knowledge with society which affiliates at the levels of social commonsense where the language phenomenon prevails.
Language is both informative and communicable; hence the words uttered into a language system are the lexical formulae, conjugating the least measure of communicable information. With the development of society, languages come under the influence of change with the accommodation of new-fangled lexicons. The languages which are reluctant to accept such changes, are left to the threat of losing their indigenous speakers, sooner or later.
Linguistic change brings broader influences to political, economic and cultural aspects. Transformation of knowledge into education and sciences, and further into technology is a multiway complex process. It takes 21 years for a newborn baby to graduate for a diploma. During this period science and technology keep on progressing. Today, technology runs parallel with current education systems. Children start learning sciences while keeping a piece of technology (mobile, laptop, etc.) with them at all times.
Affair of education, technology and society
Educational exchanges are well examined under the tight set of schooling system but people’s awareness about technology, that we call ‘affair of tech-interest’ remains parallel to the educational needs, without any predetermined set of rules goes within society under self-functioning phenomenon of technology.
KBS is keen to explore the affair of technology which has waved into the experiences of society, to take its charge to social world.
It is an unexplored area of knowledge to investigate the probabilities of innovations, under way for an adaptation of society to the technology versus traditional educational dogma. Not only this but fact that technology is unstoppable in every aspect of social system.
Technology has to go long, far beyond from here, to function deep into bases of human social system to build knowledge based societies in the Arab world. In today’s times, technology is still in process of normalizing the development of knowledge to the generalized level of social wisdom and beyond and is spanning the gaps between knowledge, society and technology.
